I recently shared I’m in a bit of a reading slump.
I’m having a hard time focusing and that’s keeping me from getting into a book. This happens from time to time, usually when I’m too busy for my own good (i.e. stressed), or more tired than usual (oh, that sounds like stress too), or if I’m not deliberately taking time for myself (yea, that too is a sign of stress, I see the pattern).
Stress aside, I need to do something to reset my reading rhythm.
Reading things that are shorter in length helps me get back into the habit of reading on the regular. Newspaper or magazine articles, essays, and even blog posts are good for this. They require a bit of focus but can still be finished in a half-hour or less.
Which brings me to the point of this post.

I like reading other readers’ book blogs.
I especially appreciate when someone shares a personal post about reading. I enjoy it when another writer shares an insight on what a book has meant to them, or fans-out about a favorite author, or just offers a thoughtful take on a tale.I also enjoy book reviews and learning about books I haven’t read.
Plus, connecting with other readers is at the heart of this book blog.
I follow a handful of other book bloggers using Feedly. I set Feedly up ages ago and find its still the best way for me to capture and keep up with blogs, (As an aside, I hate email. I never subscribe to blogs via email. Having too many messages in my in-box overwhelms me.)
Are you someone I should be following? Do we have a shared interest? If so let me know!
Thanks for the follow – just adding you to my own Feedly reader!
